At Burtree Country House, we have two large tipis with all the luxuries for Yorkshire glamping at its finest. Set in a private, enclosed corner of our beautiful grounds, Geronimo has its own private undercover Hot tub, with twinkly lights on the decking with a fire pit and BBQ, all ready just to light, with outside seating, for Alfresco dinning. The Geronimo Tipi is surrounded by the rolling Herriot hills, with views of the iconic White Horse of Kilburn. Children are most welcome; a very small child can join you in the tipi double bed.A luxury shower and toilet block, exclusively for tipi guests, is less than a minute’s walk away in the garden grounds.
Children can enjoy the swings, sandpit, trampoline and other garden activities, free of charge We also provide a bouncy castle, bouncy castle slide ( £5per child, per day) a rodeo bull ride 9 £3.50) and pony rides with Betty, our resident pony (£5). These are to be booked and paid for in advance prior to your arrival Additionally, we have a football game in the Folly Bar & a Dartboard( children can play under adult supervision) you can hook up to our bluetooth speakers and enjoy your music or watch your favourite sporting event on our big screen Tv
The Folly bar is licensed, so you can enjoy a drink of wine, lager or anything from our drinks menu. Parents can enjoy their drinks on the patio while keeping a watchful eye on their children playing.
We hold events and entertainment at Burtree, with a full list available on our website. Please note when we are hosting private parties and functions, the Folly bar will be closed to all guests. Evening music and karaoke can also be set up in the Folly bar for guests to enjoy upon request.
We are dog-friendly (extra £10 per dog per night charge).
Having a celebration? The tipis can be decorated for any occasion, be it a birthday, anniversary, or romantic proposal. Once booked, just let us know your occasion, choose from one of our bespoke celebration packages tailored to your needs, and leave the rest to us. We can even have “Happy Birthday” playing as you open the door to your retreat upon request.
Breakfast baps ( bacon or bacon & egg) served with filter coffee or tea and a fresh orange juice are available to purchase for £10.99. Please request on arrival or order the night before, if staying for two or more days.
